Accessible (ADA) Parking Striping

Accessible parking is more than paint, it is stall width, aisle width, ramp alignment, signage and the symbol, all to your municipality's current standard. We lay it out right the first time so you are not repainting after an inspection.

About this service

Get it right the first time

Accessible parking is one of the first things an inspector, a tenant or a customer with a mobility need looks for. Getting it wrong is expensive, repainting, fines or a complaint, and getting it right is not hard when the stalls are laid out to the current standard from the start.

We check the number of stalls your property needs, the width of stalls and access aisles, where the ramps and curb cuts are, and how the signage has to be placed. Then we paint it in durable traffic paint with the blue-and-white International Symbol of Access.

Common questions

Good to know

Is ADA the right standard in Nova Scotia?

ADA is the US rule. In Nova Scotia the requirements come from the provincial building code and your municipality's bylaw. We follow the local standard and use the recognizable blue-and-white symbol.

How many accessible stalls do I need?

It scales with your total stall count. We confirm the number and placement for your lot as part of the layout.

Do you supply the signs too?

We do not install signs, but we lay the stalls out so your post-mounted signage lands where the bylaw needs it, and we can point you to a supplier.
